Sterling Silver Cat Cameo Pendant

This one of a kind piece was inspired by the character, Altra the Firecat from one of my favorite novels by Mercedes Lackey, "Storm Breaking." Altra is a very intelligent cat creature that bonded with the new ruler of Karse, one of the countries created in the book series.

Based on my interpretation of the author's vivid descriptions, I hand sculpted the cameo out of blue & white polymer clay and set it into an art deco style sterling silver frame with a hidden bail and a brushed finish.  The pendant is approximately 1 1/8 inches (3 cm) wide by 1 1/2 inches (4 cm) tall and it wears well with either a narrow chain or cord.  (The chains/cords in the photos are sold separately.)
