This necklace is a bold modern look to make you stand out in the crowd. Thin sterling silver sheet metal was meticulously folded into a geometric triangle pattern inspired by the structural paper folding techniques I learned in Alba's 3-D Design class at Rhode Island School of Design (Risd). The four folded triangle sides are each shaped to fit the curve of the body and connected together with handmade hinges. The custom clasp is the fourth hinge with its centerpost able to slide up and release the opposite side. Each side is approximately 7 inches (17.8 cm) long. Overall the necklace is approximately 10 inches (25.4 cm) wide by 10 inches (25.4 cm) deep and sits on the body about where a 16 inch chain would fall.
