Sterling Silver/18K Firesong & Aya Brooch

The adept mage, Firesong poses in a cameo framed by his bondmate bird, Aya. Firesong wears an 18K yellow gold mask with beautiful peacock feathers to hide some of his battle wound facial scars and accentuate his bright blue eyes. This 3D cameo is my interpretation of the characters, Firesong and Aya from the fantasy novel, “Storm Breaking” by Mercedes Lackey. He can also be found in several other novels in her Valdemar Series.
The bird frame of the brooch is cast in sterling silver while the mask was handforged in 18K gold. Firesong is sculpted in polymer clay and his eyes are glass beads. The back of the brooch features an “eye” of a peacock feather. The brooch is approximately 1 7/8 inches (4.8 cm) wide by 1 5/8 inches (4.1 cm) tall.
