Woman 6: S-Sit 2, Nude Charcoal Drawing

One of a limited series of nude gesture drawings, I drew from life a back view of a nude model posed in an S-Sit stretch position.  Using charcoal on newsprint paper, I sketched in large circular motions throughout the image adding depth and shape with each line.  When I was finished, this final piece has an impressionist style where those many strokes gave the figure soft lines with varying shades of gray that created a volume and depth to the drawing.  It is approximately 17 inches (43.2 cm) wide by 20 1/4 inches (51.4 cm) tall. The drawing will be carefully rolled and shipped in a mailing tube.
